On the same day, Wang Yi also held talks with Brunei’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ariwan, and Minister of the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Financial Affairs Liu Guangming and co-chaired the second meeting of the Chinese Intergovernmental Joint Steering Committee. At the meeting, the two parties proposed to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, fisheries and tourism between the two countries, deepen the construction of Hengyi Petrochemical and the "Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor", and actively explore new areas of cooperation such as e-commerce and digital economy, and work together to enhance China-ASEAN Relationship to build a blue economic partnership

In order to actively respond to the country’s “One Belt, One Road” foreign investment policy, Haishitong’s Brunei Fisheries Investment Project is the first landing project of the “Guangxi-Brunei Economic Corridor”. On the basis of signing a cooperation framework agreement (MOU) with Brunei government departments, the company has invested in a comprehensive marine fishery development project in Brunei. The Brunei government approved the right to use the offshore waters of Haishitong Fishery (Brunei) Co., Ltd., the land for nursery processing and product processing. The construction content of the project includes the construction of offshore deep-water facility breeding farms, seed breeding, cold chain logistics processing and other aspects. At present, the project has created many “firsts” in Brunei's aquaculture field, effectively promoting the development of Brunei's fishery and upstream and downstream industries, strengthening the unity and cooperation between the Chinese and the Chinese, and deepening the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
