On the afternoon of October 17, Han Changfu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, who was visiting Brunei, met with Ali, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism of Brunei, in the city of Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on further strengthening cooperation in Chinese agriculture and fisheries.

Han Changfu briefly reviewed the cooperation between the two countries in agriculture and fisheries in recent years and gave high affirmation to the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation. He said that in recent years, Chinese companies such as Haishitong and Longping Hi-Tech have carried out pragmatic cooperation with the Chinese side in the fields of aquaculture and hybrid rice, which provides strong support for Wenfang to ensure food security and promote economic diversification. Thanks to Wenfang for providing support and services for Chinese companies in the development of the text. Han Changfu suggested that the two sides establish a mechanism for agricultural cooperation working groups. China is willing to continue to encourage reputable and powerful enterprises to invest in agriculture and fisheries in the text, and to develop hybrid rice, marine aquaculture, tropical fruits and vegetables, agricultural products processing and agricultural machinery and equipment with Wenfang. The cooperation welcomes Brunei's agricultural products and processed manufactured products into the Chinese market, and looks forward to further progress in agricultural cooperation between the two sides in the future.

Ali agreed with Han Changfu's comments, thanked Chinese companies for investing in agriculture, helping Brunei develop aquaculture and rice cultivation, and is willing to strengthen exchanges with China and continuously push forward the agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
